One of my EMT instructors would always talk about his time in Lake Tahoe, I became really curious.  So I decided to check it out.  Across the street from the Harris Casino you can a building with a clock tower on top.  Here you can buy a ticket to go 9,oooft up in the air and witness some of the most beautiful views.

Make sure to get off at the first stop, because you won’t get a chance to on the way down.

If you go in the summer the top of the mountain will look like this:

I heard that there was a castle in Emerald Bay.  There was no question about it I had to go check it out.  As you driving around Emerald Bay you will see spots to pull over, and gave over the lake, and this island.  If you look closely you can a private tea room that people used to use.

You can driving around the bay you’ll see a parking lot facing the water, where there is a trail to hike down to the beach and castle.  Along the way you can see some really cool trees.

I found this tree so interesting.  I don’t know why it is, but I would love to know why this tree is half nature and half cement.

I didn’t get that many good pictures of the castle, but it’s well worth the hike down.

As we drove around Lake Tahoe we would randomly stop, and follow our curious minds. This is a secret place, and it’s not that easy to find.  At some point in your cruise around Tahoe you’ll see a wooden fence, and if you see a nostalgic sign that reads “Go Jump in the Lake”, then you’ve come to the right place.
